Objectives

The course aims to give advanced knowledge of selected technologies and measurement methods in recently conducted research and technology development in ocean technology.

The course consists of a selection of modules from the following topics among others;

Basic knowledge of minimum 60 ECTS in physics + course corresponding to PHYS225/HTEK201 Measurement Technology or equivalent.

Access to the Course

Access to the course requires admission to a master programme/doctoral education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

Teaching and learning methods

The teaching method is by lectures and seminars.

Compulsory Assignments and Attendance

Approved laboratory reports for each laboratory assignment. Approved compulsory assignments are valid for 2 subsequent semesters.

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.

Assessment Semester

Autumn semester and spring semester.

Reading List

The reading list will be available within June 1st for the autumn semester and January 1st for the spring semester.

The course will be evaluated by the students in accordance with the quality control system at UiB and the department.
