Objectives and Content
Objectives: The students will learn to express themselves precisely and scientifically, both in writing and orally.
Content: The course will give the students an introduction to the most common terms used in scientific literature. The teaching includes regular lectures and seminars where the students present and discuss scientific texts that they have written.

On completion of the course the student should have the following learning outcomes defined in terms of knowledge, skills and general competence:

Required Previous Knowledge
At least 90 credits from the bachelor programme in chemistry or nanotechnology.

Access to the Course
Acces to the course requires admission to a programme of study at The Faculty of Matematics and Natural Sciences and fullfilled requirements.
Teaching and learning methods
4 hours of teaching (lectures and seminars) every week for 12 weeks.
Compulsory Assignments and Attendance
Approved attendance of 80% of the seminars. Compulsory work is valid for 3 subsequent semesters.
Forms of Assessment
Approved (popular) scientific paper, including an oral presentation of it. Approved attendance of 80% of the seminars. Compulsory work is valid for 3 subsequent semesters.
