Objectives and Content

The course addresses testing and assessment of second language skills. Central topics are modern forms of language assessment, principles of testing and assessment, and their theoretical underpinnings. The course also discusses ethical aspect of language testing as well as issues related to testing and assessing language skills in multilingual persons.

Students must have a very good knowledge of the Norwegian language.

Compulsory Assignments and Attendance

A short paper of approximately 500 words submitted on the deadline decided by the course administration.

4 hours written examination.
