This is a course with limited capacity and will only be offered to Master's programme students at the Department of Biological Sciences.

It is mandatory to attend the first lecture.
The course will teach students how to write a master thesis, and to repprt research results in various formats. The course is an exercise in scientific writing and collaborating research, and presenting research, and in giving and receiving feedback on texts.
The course will cover formal genre requirements including text structure, language, tables and figures, citations etc., as well as practical tips to get on with writing. The students will also assess writing styles in published articles, write and present in various formats. We also discuss ethics of science and research, and what meands to be a researcher.
After taking this course the students should be able to:
- write all parts (IMRaD) of a master thesis
- write a theme into a scientific context, with critical use of core scientific literature
- present a research project in collaboration with others and in relevant formats
- present results and data and write them into a text
- write clear academic texts with flow and style
Bachelor's degree in biology or equivalent. The course is limited to master programme students at the Department of Biological Sciences.
