The aim of the tuition (in the course) is that the students obtain knowledge about how different cell types are organized to form tissues, and further how different tissues build up organs, organ systems and parts of the body.
Learning Outcomes
It is expected after completion of the course that the student can:
Knowledge:
know central gross anatomical and histological terminology (also in Latin)
descibe cellular and histological structure of tissues
describe gross anatomical structure of organs and organ systems
know topographic anatomy of the body parts in the syllabus
utlize the knowledge of building and organization of the cells, tissues, organs and organ systems as a basis for understanding normal function and deviation of the normal, i.e development of diseases in human being
Skills and competences:
use the light microscope independently to investigate and identify cells and histological structures in tissue sections
identify gross anatomical structures in anatomical models and in fixed human specimens
Access to the Course
Bachelor programme in human nutrition
Teaching Methods and Extent of Organized Teaching
