- the histological appearance of the most common diseases of the jaws and oral mucosa
SkillsStudents will be able to
- record a medical and odontological history
- make extra- and intra-oral clinical examination
- make a preliminary diagnosis
- assess the indications for radiography
- evaluate the need for referral to a dentist / specialist
- follow-up patients who have received treatment for illnesses, injuries and malformations of the oro-maxillo facial area
- evaluate the patient's health condition related to risk assessment pertaining the diagnosis of oral diseases and common therapies used by dental hygienists
