Objectives and Content

The course aims to give the students a general introduction to instrumentation and measurement systems, including characterization of these. Different sensor principles are presented with emphasis on signal conditioning, signal processing and transmission of measurement signals.

Required Previous Knowledge

Minimum 60 ECTS in physics.

Forms of Assessment

Mid-term exam and final oral exam. The mid-term is written. Auxiliary material allowed for the exam: Approved calculator in line with Faculty regulations. The mid-term can count for up to 30 % of the final grade, and is valid for two semesters including the semester it is completed. For semesters without instruction, the final exam counts for 100 % of the final grade.

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
