Objectives and Content

The course aims to give students a broad introduction to systematics, behaviour and anatomy as a basis for studies in fish biology.

The course focuses on the general and specific features of fish. The lab course includes exercises on identification (systematics) and dissection of some cartilagenous and some teleost fish (anatomy).

Give the students a broad introduciton to systematics, behaviour and anatomy as basis for studies within fisheries biology.

Laboratory course incl submission of journal.

Forms of Assessment

Oral (90%) and approved journal (10%). Grade scale (A-F)

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
