Objectives and Content

Aim:

To introduce the students to reading, critical thinking and discussing within the nursing scientific (research) tradition. To develop an individual project plan.

 

Contents:

The course is broad, and consists of seminars in e.g. the study fields of Life Phenomena and Quality of Life, Lifestyle epidemiology, Praxeology , Global health anthropology and Phenomenological Studies in Health Sciences. The lecturers will be both scientists from UiB and invited external speakers.

After completing the course, the students should be able to:

Bachelor of nursing or other bachelor in health science

Teaching Methods and Extent of Organized Teaching

Seminars in different research groups

Writing and presenting individual research design/project plan

Compulsory Assignments and Attendance

Compulsory attendance and active participation in a minimum of 8 seminars (24 hours) over two semesters.
