Aim:

• The students will obtain insight into the quality of life as a concept and a research tradition.

Content:

• Quality of life and related concepts such as health and illness
• Various factors that influence the quality of life, such as stress and coping
• Quality of life in a health-promoting perspective

The concept of evidence as used in health-related research

• The students will demonstrate basic understanding of the quality of life and other related concepts in a professional nursing setting.
• The students will be able to critically reflect both orally and in writing on the research and methodological challenges related to the quality of life.
• The students will be able to use knowledge and evidence on the quality of life in their research or other written work.
