SkillsThe students shall be able to:
- select proper setting and conduct investigations of patients with intraoral films, direct and indirect sensors, plus extra-oral films and panoramic shooting
- interpret the images with respect to quality and decide which pictures that are to be used or supplemented if needed
- perform a simple examination with contrast fistulography
- identify normal anatomic structures in the jaws, joints and adjacent areas
- identifying dental materials radiographically
- diagnosis of certain specified diseases and disorders of teeth, supporting tissue, jaws and adjacent areas
General competenceStudents should show responsibility and care for patients and be aware not to expose the patients to more radiation than necessary.
