Objectives and Content

Students will work two weeks in a healthcare institution, a geriatric care department, a health station, on a project or other places where preventive or curative healthcare takes place. They shall observe how work is carried out and how goals are met. Nutrition shall be a particular focus.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completing the course, the students are expected to know how a health institution works and how nutrition and preventive health care takes place in practice. Furthermore, the students must have acquired skills such as:

 

Competence:

evaluate nutrition's place in comprehensive, multidisciplinary health care

Required Previous Knowledge

The candidate must be taking courses on the Bachelor's program in Human Nutrition or a corresponding equivalent.

Teaching Methods and Extent of Organized Teaching

Introduction to the subject. Placement. Reflection notes.

Compulsory Assignments and Attendance

Participate in introductory meeting and the summary meeting. Work in a healthcare institution / department (two weeks)
