Objectives and Content
After the last ice age, one of history's biggest, most obvious patterns have been the different developmental speeds on the various continents. The course discusses how geographic factors, environmental conditions, and unequal access to resources led to food production that occurred at different times in different geographical areas. The course focuses in particular on the consequences that the domestication of plants and animals, and climate variations have had on the development and change of society.
Learning Outcomes
After completing the course the student should:- be able to elaborate on how the different climates, and differences in geography and biogeography, led to the difference in histories on different continents
- have developed insight into the environmental and communal dynamics that lead to a collapse or development of communities
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
