Objectives and Content

The course covers a selection of contemporary topics in optimization, and its content will vary from time to time.

 

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course INF379 "Selected Topics in Optimization", the student is supposed to be able to

- explain the theory of the selected topics

- apply the lectured theory in a master or PhD project

- participate in research within the selected topics

- request, evaluate, and critically judge relevant research articles

Required Previous Knowledge

At least 120 ECTS in computer science, preferably including some mathematics

Forms of Assessment

Oral exam. No aids allowed.

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
