Objectives and Content

The course introduces mathematical theory, agent-based simulation tools, and interactive visualization software to analyze technological networks, particularly the Internet. Topics covered are random graphs, small-world networks, and the preferential attachment model; cellular automata models; computer algorithms to evaluate network properties; and experimental studies of technological networks.

Compulsory assignments. The assignments are valid for two terms, the semester the assignments are approved, and the following

Forms of Assessment

Oral examination.

Compulsory assignments can be graded contributing to the final grade.

If there are many participants, it may be a written exam (3 hours)

No legal aids.

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
