Objective:

Introduction into nuclear physics, ionizing radiation and its applications

Content:

Introduction into nuclear physics, radioactivty, properties of ionizing radiation, interaction of radiation with matter, dosimetry, biological effects, medical and technical applications, radiation environment, radiation detection

Required Previous Knowledge

Basic courses in mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, optics and modern physics.

It is mandatory to attend first lecture

Oral exam.

Grading Scale

The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
