It is compulsory to attend the first lecture/orientation meeting, or you risk losing your seat. If you are unable to attend the first lecture, you must contact the Study Section (studie.bio@uib.no). - Write all parts of a scientific paper in the IMRaD format

- Make appropriate use of open data and library resources when conducting scientific research

- Develop questions and hypotheses on a selected scientific topic, in collaboration with others

- Write about a scientific topic, placing it in its scientific context, and making critical use of scientific literature

- Write clear academic texts with appropriate style and structure, and including results, tables and figures

- Present a research project in the format of a scientific poster, in collaboration with others

After taking this course the students should be able to:
