It is compulsory to attend the first lecture/orientation meeting, or you risk losing your seat. If you are unable to attend the first lecture, you must contact the Study Section (studie.bio@uib.no). Objectives and Content

The goal of this course is create a deep understanding of how evolution works, and general knowledge about the most important research questions in evolutionary biology. The subject introduces students to all aspects of evolutionary biology.

Compulsory courses in https://www.uib.no/studier/BAMN-BIObachelor's in biology, or equivalent courses.

Teaching and learning methods

Lectures.

Although it is not compulsory to attend class all teaching sessions, much of the activities take place there and the learning effect will be limited if one chooses not to participate actively.

All three assessments must be completed in the teaching semester to pass the course and are only valid in the semester in which they are completed.

A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade, grade F is a fail.
